Our vision is a drug-free community that is united and empowered to address the social, emotional, and economic wellbeing of Blount County families and individuals.
Mission
Our mission is to establish a network of community members and agencies that creates opportunities for public discourse and the implementation of strategies to reduce substance misuse.
Purpose
The Purposes of the AGENCY & COALITION are:
- To connect the diverse elements of Blount County in a united effort that empowers individuals, strengthens families, and encourages resiliency,
- To reduce substance misuse risk factors and increase protective factors through a data-informed planning process that results in extensive support and involvement from the community,
- To develop and support a youth coalition that identifies, and addresses community issues and needs, and
- To act as an instrument for groups and individuals to identify and address social issues that weaken the community.
Membership
Membership is open to everyone! We have monthly Coalition meetings that take place on the second Tuesday of each month at Noon. To receive more information about our coalition, sign up for our newsletter below.
